About Us
MPPA was formed in 1991 in order to get families more involved with the sport. We began hosting regular BBQ Cook-outs at the airfield and encouraging pilots to bring their family-members to the events. We continue to host BBQ events that we call MPPA-Day, which is held on the first Saturday following the club meeting (which is held on Wednesdays).
We also host regular flying events at the airfield. In 2007 we were one of a select few clubs in the country to host the AMA Jamboree, which was a huge success. We also host a couple of pylon racing events each year at Markham Park, Night-flying events which are always exciting, and we are planning to add other flying events this year, including IMAC Competitions, 3D Exhibitions & Competitions and Fun-fly events.
